What is the S.T.E.M Mentoring Program?
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) mentoring program is designed to help incoming Freshmen, Sophomore, and Transfer students succeed in passing their lower level math and science courses by working with an experienced mentor in proper studying techniques and one on one tutoring.
The program is for any Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics major who is seeking guidence, advice, and tutoring to succeed at UTPB.
Goals of the Program
- To help students succeed in their science and math courses
- Create career awareness in accordance to S.T.E.M majors
- Help S.T.E.M students find the right career path
- Help students better understand university level work with study sessions on proper studying habits and techniques
- Inform students on potential scholarships and grants
