What is theVolunteer Center?
 
The Volunteer Center serves as a clearing house for volunteerism and service to the UTPB and the Midland/Odessa communities. The Volunteer Center staff works with faculty, staff, and community agencies to provide UTPB with service opportunities. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to register their volunteer hours through the Volunteer Center, so that they may be recognized for the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. UTPB’s Volunteer Center Mission
 
To assist, encourage, and facilitate students and student organizations/clubs to volunteer, strengthen ties with community agencies, and expand service learning on campus. The Student Volunteer Center strives for student cognitive, moral, ethical, social, democratic and educational growth by fostering a life-long community service ethic in students.
